Welcome to Bounty exhibit at Brady's
History
Built in 1960 in Nova Scotia the Bounty was built to larger scale than the original HMS Bounty to accommodate film crew and equipment. The original plan was to destroy the boat at the end of the movie but Marlin Brando insisted the boat be preserved.

Lost in Hurricane Sandy
The ill-fated Bounty was lost in 2012 during Hurricane Sandy when the Captain made the error of thinking he could ride out the storm at sea. The pumps could not keep up and she was lost 120 miles off the coast of North Carolina. 2 souls went down with the ship including the captain and 12 others were rescued at sea.
